Amit Chitra has in-depth experience in maritime policy and public administration from his previous role as Senior advisor at the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries. He has experience developing regulatory frameworks and policy instruments for the maritime industry, as well as working on maritime safety and emergency preparedness, and contributing to national budget processes. He has also been head of the Norwegian delegation to the OECD Shipbuilding Committee.

Chitra holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Oslo, where he also held positions as a university lecturer and research assistant.
